Holistic fitness retreat

We've postponed this trip - but please email me if you're interested in going with us in the future!

Come join the fun in Nicaragua for a week of fitness, adventure and relaxation. We'll be staying at El Camino del Sol, a small yoga retreat-resort nestled in the foothills above the seaside village of San Juan del Sur. The resort is being developed to protect the beautiful environment and is closely involved with the local community to create a healthy, sustainable economy.

Reserve your place with $600 deposit.
$1,590 per person, double occupancy - due by January 15, 2009
  • Children under 12 occupying room with parents are half price
Our group package includes comfortable accommodations for 6 nights, group airport shuttle (Managua), healthy & delicious meals, option to attend two holistic fitness classes daily, and use of the resort pool. Taxes and cleaning fee included. Airfare not included. See below for photos. For payment instructions, email me at NiaOndine@gmail.com or call me at (866) 703-2423.

El Camino del Sol is comfortable and utterly charming! Just a few minutes from the market and beaches, yet away from the bustle of the town, this beautiful area is popular with outdoor enthusiasts. See www.elcaminodelsol.com and www.nicayoga.com

Morning and evening Nia and yoga classes will be offered daily in a covered, open-air studio. During the day, go on some adventurous excursions, or relax, explore the market, stroll the beaches, or get a massage. Some of the adventure potential in the area includes:
  • Canopy zipline tours
  • Ocean fishing
  • Snorkeling and SCUBA
  • Surfing, surfboard rental and lessons
  • Sailing
  • Guided hikes in the surrounding nature preserves
  • and more!
(These are available at extra cost and can be arranged by the resort staff. Estimated prices are listed at www.nicayoga.com)

About us: My name is Ondine Constable. I'm a certified Nia Fitness Instructor. My husband Kent is a lifelong surfer and will offer surfing lessons. Meet us in the photos below. For more info see my home page.

"Nicaragua?!....is it SAFE?" Nicaragua has the lowest crime rate in Central America (see links below). Ethical Traveler rates Nicaragua in the Top 10 tourism destinations in the "developing world" based on environmental protection, social welfare and human rights. See the report: http://www.ethicaltraveler.org/destinations/2008. San Juan del Sur is clean, and the drinking water and food are safe. El Camino del Sol has gate access and security 24/7.

Surf Alert: San Juan del Sur offers great conditions for both beginners and skilled surfers. See www.nicaraguasurfreport.com
